Baked Teriyaki Salmon Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons water
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginge
r, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Salmon fillet steaks
Directions:
Pre-heat the oven at 375 degrees F.
Combine all of the ingredients, except for the salmon, in a medium saucepan. Stir over low-to-medium heat until the sauce is reduced slightly, and to your own preference. The more you reduce it, the more salty the sauce will be, but also the thicker.
Rinse the salmon fillet, pat dry, and place skin-side down in a lightly buttered casserole dish.
Cook for 14 minutes for each 1 inch of salmon thickness at its' widest part, or until its' internal temperature measures 140 degrees F.
Serving this with mashed potatoes is a hit with my child. Rice should be also good. And of course include a green vegetable.
The teriyaki makes the recipe sexy, but you can probably leave it off your child's portion. They might be put off by the strong teriyaki flavor and the ingredients aren't particularly healthy.
